From a poll on our Instagram our followers chose their most iconic Grammy outfits of all time. So in no particular order...

 

1. Britney Spears, 2000

Britney Spears wore an elegant and understated white gown to the grammy's. Where she was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal performance. She paired the sleek white halter dress, with a fluffy shawl and diamond necklace, for a bit of Hollywood glam.

 

2. Jennifer Lopez, 2000

This dress is nothing short of Iconic. Previous to J-Lo, the dress was worn by Geri Halliwell and the designer herself, Donatella Versace. However, the dress will forever be associated with Jennifer Lopez. The 'Get Loud' singer, wore the dress again 20 years later, closing the Versace Spring 2020 show.  

 

3. Rihanna, 2015

Last to arrive at the 2015 Grammy Awards, Rihanna stunned in a haute couture pink tulle gown. The Fenty Beauty founder, told Ryan Seacrest she saw the dress online and knew she had to wear it. Although the dress was compared to cotton candy, a loofa and Glinda from Wicked, we think she looked like a queen. 

 

4. Dolly Parton, 1977

This outfit is so undeniably Dolly, no-one else could pull it off. The country icon's hair alone was a fashion statement. Never mind the bedazzled pink and white jumpsuit. Dolly has had 50 nominations, over the 63 grammy award ceremonies.

 

5. Cher, 1974

Cher turned heads at the 1974 grammy's, with her flowing white butterfly outfit. This was her first appearance since the announcement of her new relationship, post Sonny Bono. She attended the awards show with new boyfriend. American business man, David Geffen. 

 

6. Grace Jones, 1983

The singer, songwriter, model that is Grace Jones, is known for her avant grade, sculptural clothing. And this is exactly what she wore to the 1983 Grammy Awards. A wide brim skeleton of a hat. With a vinyl like, broad shoulder top, makes up the iconic outfit Jones wore on the red carpet

 

7. Madonna, 2014

Madonna and her son rocked the catwalk as a duo in 2014. David, age 8, picked his mother's outfit for the awards show. Madonna paired her suit with a cane, one glove and big rings, spelling ME.
